Welcome to my Blog! Here I will post about everything Disney, from Disney movie reviews to basic stories of the Disney Princess'. I hope everyone from young to old will read my blog and enjoy my Disney obsession, just as I do.

Today, I will be writing about Ariel the Little Mermaid. Ariel is one of my favorite Disney movies. She is my second favorite Disney Princess next to Anna from Frozen. The Little Mermaid shows me that no matter what or who you are you will always want to be something more than you are. Ariel is a mermaid that is best friends with a fish named Flounder and a crab named Sebastian. Ariel is enthralled with human existence. She falls in love with a human that goes by Prince Eric. Ariel will do anything to be human so she can be with Prince Eric. She ends up giving her voice away to Ursula so she can become human. She has about 3 days to make Prince Eric fall in love with her or Ursula owns her basically. But, Ariel doesn't know that this is all apart of Ursula's plan to steal King Triton's magic, which King Triton is Ariel's father. Ariel almost got "true loves kiss" which then she would get her voice back after words, but once again Ursula has her ways and manages to ruin the kiss. On the last day, Ursula becomes human and using Ariel's voice to be a human girl named "Vanessa". Ursula then uses her magic to make Prince Eric fall in love with her. After learning from Scuttle (who is Eric's seagull) that "Vanessa" is Ursula in disguise, Ariel disrupts the wedding and regains her voice but the sun sets as Ariel and Prince Eric are about to kiss, transforming Ariel back into a mermaid. After transforming herself back into her true witch form, Ursula takes Ariel back into the ocean, where she is met by King Triton and Sebastian. King Triton trades himself for his daughter, which makes Ursula able to steal the King's power and crown. Ariel gets angry and then battles Ursula but Ariel ends up in the bottom of a whirlpool. Eric ends up killing Ursula, which breaks her spell and King Triton gains his power back. The king uses his magic to make Ariel a human so she can marry Eric and live happily ever after on land.

Kiss the Girl

Ariel the Little Mermaid has been around for 24+ years and is still a recommended movie. In my opinion anyone over the age of 5 should watch this, I say 5 because of the tragedy and the cleavage. I understand a mermaid wouldn't have a lot of clothing on because he/she is under the water. it shows how true love works out in the end. I think that it also shows a father/daughter's relationship with the King and Ariel. Ariel lost her mother when she was young and all she has left is her father. Given her father gave up his power for Ariel's well-being. True love is not also in a lover's perspective but that her father truly loves her. I give this movie a 8.75/10. I really enjoyed the songs and themes throughout the whole movie.
